• •Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• •Must be able to pass and maintain Austal driver qualifications listed below:
• •(A) Must be able to take and pass a National Safety Council - Defensive Driving Course that will be provided by Austal
• •(B) During the past three years, not received one, or, more driver license violation for:
• •Driving while intoxicated (DWI)
• •Driving while under the influence of drugs (DUID)
• •Negligent homicide arising out of the use of a motor vehicle (gross negligence)
• •Operating during a period of suspension or revocation
• •Using a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony
• •Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle
• •Operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s authority (grand theft)
• •Permitting an unlicensed person to drive
• •Reckless driving
• •Leaving the scene of an accident
• •Speed contest (racing)
• •Hit and run (bodily injury or property damage)
• •Eluding a police officer.

• •(C). During the past three (3) years, not received three (3), or, more driver license violations for:
• •All moving violations not listed in “B” above.

Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA:

18 years of age or older at time of application

Able to provide proof of US Person Status

No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date

No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date

Willing to submit to a drug screen

Willing to submit to a background check
