Logistics Manager

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• 1. Responsible for materials management from receipt through to delivery. This includes functions or receiving, warehousing, delivery and inventory control.
• 2. Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure the appropriate amount of inventory is available for production at all times.
• 3. Develop and implement warehousing strategies to ensure adequate space is available and inventory is accurately managed and can be safely stored and delivered.
• 4. Develop, implement, and maintain material processes that utilize visual management principles to assure cost effective and timely flow of material and products to customers.
• 5. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• 6. Understand. Create. Simplify.
• 7. Other duties as assigned.

• Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management or production control
• 4 year degree in business, engineering, or materials management or equivalent experience
• ERP experience in a production planning and scheduling role
• Capacity planning and analysis experience
• Materials receiving, warehousing, and logistics experience
• Experience with MRP systems
• Advanced computer skills
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

• Preferred Qualifications
• APICS CPIM certification
• Experience with World Class Manufacturing concepts
• Certification in supply chain management
• Demonstrated lean and continuous improvement experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX
