Duties
- If selected at the GS-11 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity.
- Responds to customer concerns regarding inquiries related to the Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS), and the supporting applications, tools,...
- ... and products utilized by the customers (military, DLA, Federal Agencies, Whole of Government, and contractors).
- Reviews all promotional materials, campaigns and communications to ensure positioning and messaging are aligned with target audiences.
- Relays customer concerns to the appropriate program management office to improve logistical support applications, tools, and systems.
- Develops and creates agency approved surveys to rack and capture customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Manage Logistics Operations web based platforms to include the creation of new web page strategies and design standards (currently using AFPIMS) with regard to Federal Law, Section 508 of the Disabilities Act.
Qualifications
To qualify for a Logistics Marketing Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-11: Participates in the development of business and marketing plans, including objectives and strategies Tracks, organizes and maintains inventory of customer outreach materials and fulfills request for customer outreach materials and support as needed. Produces outreach material including but not limited to: brochures, flyers, banners, guides, proposals and presentations as effective materials to support product and service communication. GS-12: Develops and implements new ways of communicating with customers through social media platforms, campaigns, e-mail communications graphic media, and product demonstrations to educate and promote users of logistics information tools, products and services. Markets and promotes product and service changes and/or upgrades to support customer requirements and keep users abreast of pending changes and updates to web platforms, systems and applications. Directs concerns and issues to appropriate area for resolution and follows up to ensure customer satisfaction and/or ascertain ways to improve customer support. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
