As an LPN on the team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system .

A caregiver in this position works Mon-Fri, 7:30am—4:00pm. No weekends/holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Collect, document and report patient data and observations.

Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.

Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions .

Perform routine laboratory tests.

Educate patients and family members.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate of an accredited P ractical or V ocational N ursing P rogram

Current Ohio licens ure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Basic Life Support (BLS) C ertification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

If in ED, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS ) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross within one year of hire in ED settings

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

One year of patient care experience

Previous experienced as an LPN in Radiology

Physical Requirements:

Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination.

Involves extensive standing and walking.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
