Machine Operator I

Job Description:

Skills & Responsibilities

• •Has a fundamental understanding of metal types and basic fabrication processes (e.g., cutting, measuring, and simple assembly).
• •Set up and operate fabrication machinery and other metalworking equipment.

• •Can safely operate basic hand tools (e.g., grinders, saws, manual cutters).
• •Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
• •Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and safety checks on equipment.
• •Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and consistency, using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• •Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• •Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• •Previous experience operating metal fabrication machinery preferred.
• •Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• •Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• •Familiarity with measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
• •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• •Basic math skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• •Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
