Machine Operator ll, Sections, 2nd Shift

Description

Kondex Corporation is looking for a Machine Operator to join the Sections department.

Current opening on 2nd shift

$3.00 per hour shift premium

Current 2nd shift hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Training will likely occur on 1st shift, Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Load and unload parts from machines while achieving expected rates, which could include one or more advanced machines.
• •Operate basic machines such as shot blaster, tumble blaster, media blaster, tempering oven, robotic stacker, band saw, straightening press, etc. These machines do not have progressions to Machine Operator I.
• •Read prints and routings.
• •Follow established machine settings and parameters.
• •Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment.
• •Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices.
• •Operate lift devices such as boom crane and hand jack.
• •May learn to operate multiple advanced machines in the area to prepare for advancement.
• •May learn set-ups by assisting Operator I.
• •Close orders in computer system.
• •Perform 5S activities, including limited preventative maintenance on equipment.
• •May assist in training other operators within the department.

Requirements

• •High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• •Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, prints, and inspection criteria.
• •Ability to learn how to operate more complex equipment.
• •Ability to work in a team environment.
• •Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
