The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join our Regency Park team. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the production of precision metal parts using equipment such as grinders, milling machines and lathes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:
- Operating Large Manual Borer/Vertical Lathe.
- Plan machining by reading and interpreting drawings and plans.
- Maintain the required specifications and make adjustments as required.
- Monitor machine performance and complete preventive maintenance requirements.
- Schedule maintenance on machines if/when required.
- Ensure smooth handover between work shifts by communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
- Willingness to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
About You
To be considered for this position you will ideally have:
- Qualified Fitter & Machinist.
- Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to operate Lathes / Mills / Vertical Borer.
- Experience machining medium to large components.
- Understanding of Safe Operating Procedures.
- Ability to work with or without supervision.
- Ability to problem solve.
- CNC Knowledge would be an advantage.
