Maintenance Assistant (Permanent) LDN PB Key Responsibilities:

• •Undertake general property maintenance & repairs throughout our properties including carpentry, tiling, decoration with general repairs to doors, windows & locking systems.
• •Building of minor timber structures like sheds, crates & kennels etc.
• •Installation & repairs gutters and drainpipe systems.
• •General repairs of basic plumbing.
• •Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
• •Assist other staff members as required.
• •Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on – call assistance.
• •Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
• •Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.
• •Shift patterns & on call rota as & when required.
• •Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.
• •Any other duties as and when required by your line manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

• •Ability to demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.
• •Knowledge of a building trade i.e., carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering & tiling.
• •Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
• •Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.
• •A thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
• •A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
• •Full clean UK driving licence.
• •Significant proven experience.
• •Be able to follow specific instructions.
