POSITION OBJECTIVE: To maintain the repair and safety of the facility to ensure quality and an exceptional experience for guests. Oversees maintenance of Casino buildings and grounds. Hands on work including plumbing, electrical repair, carpentry, and general cleaning.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required skills and knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of experience in all aspects of building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical repair, carpentry and servicing kitchen, HVAC equipment and hot water boilers
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Ability to use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or maintenance ticketing system to document and track work orders.
  • Must have a valid Driver License and Driver’s abstract must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy
  • Ability to follow through with tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Possess excellent decision-making skills
  • Demonstrates honesty in the workplace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current knowledge of occupational safety issues
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • HVAC maintenance or advanced carpentry skills
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Certification in Red Wind’s “Service First “Program.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull
  • Ability to stand or move around continuously for eight or more hours
  • Ability to reach up to a height of sixty-nine inches while lifting items up to fifty pounds
  • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Understands the operation of the Casino physical systems; hot water boilers, HVAC,
  • elevators, septic, plumbing, electrical systems, etc., to repair or improve them and/or to
  • assist external vendors in diagnosing problems
  • Reports to Engineer Supervisor/Facilities Manager/ regarding any issues or problems
  • that arise on assigned shift
  • Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the
  • Engineering Department
  • Maintaining, repairing, and assembling kitchen equipment
  • Assists with and completes minor construction, repair, and improvement projects within
  • the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
