Description

The maintenance mechanic performs a full range of assignments using independent judgement to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. Troubleshoots repairs and maintains heavy machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Typical duties and responsibilities include the following

• •Industrial mechanical/ pipe fitting/ hydraulic repair
• •Welding, machining and other fabrication
• •Rigging, aligning machines and belt and pulley drives.
• •Various preventative maintenance tasks

Qualifications:

The following qualifications are desirable:

• •Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• •Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment.
• •Capable of pipe fitting and hydraulic repairs.
• •Be willing to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime if required.
• •Experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery.
• •Welding experience or certifications

Special Requirements:

• •Be able to climb ladders and comfortable working in elevated environment.
• •While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
• •May be exposed to wet or humid conditions.
• •May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• •May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.
• •May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.
• •May be exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process
• •Must be willing to enhance and learn new skill sets.
• •Actively participate in safety initiatives.

Education Minimum: High School Graduate and or GED

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $34.87 - 40.50 per hour
