Title: Maintenance Technician 1

Reports to: Facilities Supervisor

Purpose: Responsible for general maintenance and providing a safe and clean work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Advocates for the mission of the organization and upholds the agency's values.
• •Facilitate minor repairs and installations.
• •Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• •Complete work orders as assigned.
• •Timely completion of unit turnovers.
• •Property and landscape preservation including grass cutting, trash and snow removal.
• •Provide superior customer service

Experience and Education:

• •High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical or building trade education helpful.
• •One year maintenance experience.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• •Basic knowledge of electrical, painting, plumbing, and carpentry required.
• •Well organized, able to prioritize own work.
• •Quick learner interested in expanding knowledge and experience.
• •Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• •Team builder who inspires and motivates others to perform their best.
• •Can work effectively independently as well as a member of a team.
• •Commitment to Task-is tenacious, can achieve results in an environment when priorities change quickly.

Physical requirements

• •Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, etc.
• •Ability to work in an environment in which the job is performed, such as working in hot, cold, dusty, etc. conditions.

Electrical Knowledge

• •Replace light bulbs
• •Smoke and CO detectors – testing
• •Emergency lighting (Batteries) testing
• •G.F.C.I. testing

Plumbing Knowledge

• •PVC
• •Replace faucets
• •Clear traps and drains
• •Repair leaks

Carpentry Knowledge

• •Repair windows
• •Repair doors
• •Repair flooring

Tools Knowledge

• •Skill saw
• •Drill
• •Hand tools
• •Ladders
