Maintenance Technician

Description

PRC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician for our luxury residential high-rise in Jersey City. We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, making repairs and taking pride in keeping a residential property operating and looking its best.

This is a hands-on maintenance position, not a supervisory or live-in role. There is no on-call rotation.

What You’ll Do

• •Complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• •Troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs involving basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and drywall
• •Perform painting, patching and other general repairs
• •Assist with apartment turnovers and make-ready work
• •Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections
• •Help maintain common areas and building systems
• •Identify issues requiring specialized service and communicate repair needs to management
• •Provide courteous, professional service to residents

What We’re Looking For

• •At least one year of hands-on residential, apartment or building maintenance experience
• •Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and general repairs
• •Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• •Comfortable performing maintenance and repairs directly , rather than primarily supervising others or coordinating vendors
• •Strong communication and customer service skills
• •Ability to work independently and meet the physical requirements of the position

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience
