Position Summary
Will support the enterprise AI Risk Management Governance program by executing and enhancing KeyBank's AI risk management framework, risk assessment processes, governance controls, and regulatory oversight activities. This role serves as a central coordinator across business lines, technology, model risk, compliance, legal, information security, third-party risk management, and operational risk functions to ensure AI use cases are identified, assessed, governed, monitored, and deployed in accordance with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
Based on business needs, this role may be assigned to support any of the strategic initiatives or business-as-usual (BAU) activities outlined below.
AI Risk Assessment & Governance (BAU)
- Lead end-to-end AI risk assessments, including inherent and residual risk evaluation, independent review and challenge, and deployment readiness.
- Partner across business, technology, risk, compliance, legal, privacy, cybersecurity, and third-party functions to identify and address AI risks.
- Maintain governance records, reporting, ongoing monitoring, reassessments, remediation actions, and risk decisions.
Workflow Adoption
- Own business requirements and enhancements for the AI risk management workflow within an enterprise GRC platform.
- Partner with technology teams to design workflows, scoring, reporting, evidence management, and automation capabilities.
- Lead testing, validation, implementation, and production readiness to maintain a reliable system of record for AI risk decisions.
AI Risk Management Framework Implementation
- Lead implementation of a recognized financial services AI risk management framework and align its requirements to enterprise processes.
- Coordinate control mapping, gap assessments, ownership, remediation, and evidence standards across business and risk functions.
- Translate framework requirements into practical policies, procedures, controls, implementation plans, and leadership reporting.
Agentic AI & Automation Initiatives
- Guide the design and implementation of AI-enabled governance, risk assessment, and workflow automation capabilities.
- Partner with technology teams and external providers to automate evidence collection, control mapping, documentation, and assessment activities.
- Establish governance requirements, decision gates, human oversight, testing, and monitoring for agentic AI solutions.
AI Governance Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Advance the AI governance strategy, operating model, policies, standards, and accountability structure.
- Simplify governance processes and reduce duplication across enterprise risk and control functions.
- Develop meaningful metrics, risk indicators, dashboards, inventory controls, and management reporting to drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary liaison across risk disciplines and first-line business partners.
- Facilitate working groups, governance forums, and operating committee meetings.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders across Risk Management, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and business functions.
Drive accountability for risk remediation and control implementation activities.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
