What You Will Do

• •Act as a key interface with across functional teams for key components selection in the NPI phase; identify the needs for re-design and leads the efforts
• •Develop and execute Harman commodity sourcing strategy based on business needs, supply base performance, market situation/trends, new technologies, etc.
• •Stay on top of the market and industry trends, and provide intelligence to the organization
• •Lead special procurement programs to improve procurement process and result
• •Establish consistent commercial terms/conditions
• •Execute effective supplier negotiations and event driven cost reductions to meet annual cost reduction goals
• •Build appropriate senior level supplier relationships
• •Manage the bid and quote process in NPI execution
• •Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility
• •Work with Supply Chain, Sourcing and Value Engineering teams to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities.

What You Need to Be Successful

• •EE background
• •8+ years procurement experience in semiconductor
• •Proven leadership, interpersonal, communication, and influence skills
• •Strong analytical skill
• •Proven ability to lead and achieve cost, quality, and time-to-market commitments
• •Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
• •Strong presentation and writing skills
• •Ability to speak clearly and express opinions well in groups and in one-to-one conversations
