The role is responsible for ensuring that performance, benchmark, portfolio, holdings and other investment data is appropriately interrogated and accurately represented across reports, factsheets, presentations and other client-facing material.
The Manager leads the reporting and presentation team and works closely with Investments, Product, Client Service, Operations, Data and Technology to ensure Symmetry’s investment reporting is reliable, insightful and scalable.
Key Accountabilities

- Oversee monthly and quarterly reports, factsheets, client presentations, consultant reporting, due diligence material, new business presentations and bespoke reporting.
- Ensure appropriate review and sign-off takes place before investment information is distributed externally.
- Ensure information is accurate, complete, consistent and delivered within agreed timelines.
- Drive consistency across reporting channels, including portfolio names, benchmarks, performance, asset allocation, manager information, graphics and investment terminology.
Investment Data & Analytics
- Take ownership of the investment data used in client reporting and external communications.
- Interrogate performance, benchmark, holdings, portfolio and exposure data and assess the reasonableness of reported outcomes.
- Identify and investigate anomalies, inconsistencies and unexpected results.
- Coordinate resolution of data and reporting issues with Investments, Performance, Operations and Data teams.
- Support the interpretation of portfolio and performance information for clients and internal stakeholders.
Client Reporting & Presentations
- Lead the development of high-quality investment presentations for client report-backs, pitches and due diligence engagements.
- Ensure presentations and supporting material accurately reflect the relevant investment solution and are consistent with formal reporting.
- Oversee reporting support for client meetings, including preparation, pre-briefing and follow-up of reporting-related actions.
- Act as a senior escalation point for investment reporting and data queries.
Team & Process Management
- Lead and develop the investment reporting and presentation team.
- Establish clear accountability for reporting deliverables, quality standards and deadlines.
- Ensure key reporting processes, controls and procedures are documented and consistently applied.
- Monitor reporting errors, rework, missed deadlines and recurring issues and drive corrective action.
- Build a team culture that understands and challenges the investment information being reported rather than simply producing reports.
Reporting Improvement & Scalability
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, client experience and operational efficiency.
- Reduce unnecessary manual intervention and duplication across reporting processes.
- Partner with Data and Technology teams to improve reporting tools, data quality and automation.
- Ensure reporting requirements are considered when new investment solutions or client propositions are developed.

- Bachelor’s degree in Investments, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or a related field.
- CFA, CIPM or a relevant postgraduate investment qualification would be advantageous.
