We're looking for a Manager, IT Audit to help scale and modernize our compliance capabilities alongside mentoring and leading a team. This role works closely with Legal, Engineering, Finance, and People teams to ensure IT controls are embedded across key business processes and that audit requirements are met consistently across the organization.

StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of IT audits including SOC1, SOC2, and financial statement audits, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders

Execute on the established IPO-readiness plan by implementing and monitoring IT general controls (ITGCs) and SOX compliance frameworks across the organization

Identify control gaps, assess risk exposure, and develop actionable remediation plans in partnership with Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams

Build and evolve AI-enabled audit workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and scale compliance operations to meet public company requirements

Manage and develop team members, setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Months 1–2: Onboard into active audit cycles, take ownership of SOC1/SOC2 deliverables, and establish relationships with key cross-functional partners

Months 3–4: Lead a full cycle of IT controls testing, identify gaps in the current ITGC framework, and advance execution of established SOX readiness priorities

Months 5–6: Deliver a progress update on IPO-readiness execution milestones and present a roadmap for AI-enabled audit process improvements to leadership

Successful completion of all three external audits (financial statement, SOC1, SOC2) with no material findings

On-track execution of SOX/ITGC IPO-readiness milestones within first 6 months

Measurable reduction in manual audit effort through AI and automation initiatives

Stakeholder satisfaction scores from cross-functional partners (Engineering, Legal, Finance)

Team development milestones met — direct reports progressing against defined growth plans

What You'll Bring to the Table

5+ years of experience in IT audit, internal controls, or information security, with at least 2 years in a people management capacity

Demonstrated expertise in SOC1/SOC2 audits, IT general controls (ITGCs), and SOX compliance frameworks

Active CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification required

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent audit programs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Experience leveraging automation or AI tools to improve audit workflows and compliance processes

Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex technical controls into clear, business-relevant insights for senior stakeholders

CPA designation is considered a strong asset

The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in the posting country based on a global rate. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. StackAdapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location. We do not ask c andidates about current or prior salary history, and we will not use such information, if volunteered, in setting an offer.

This range represents base salary only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Factors Influencing Final Compensation:

The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications.

Other business factors, such as organizational needs and budget alignment, may also be considered in the final offer.

Base Salary Band

$120,000 — $165,000 CAD
