OVERVIEW:

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time Manager of Distribution II to join our distribution center team in Fort Worth, TX.

This role will support a department within the DC on the 1st shift (Monday - Thursday 7am - 3:30pm ).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Demonstrate a thorough understanding of technical systems & logistics the distribution process
• •Manage all aspects of training and development of warehouse associates and supervisors
• •Develop and execute action plans for improvements to meet company goals and objectives
• •Perform inventory management, cycle counts, and physical audits maintaining accuracy standards
• •Design initiatives and develop strategies to increase the effectiveness of logistics functions
• •Guide team members in daily operations to ensure a high degree of safety, service and quality
• •Evaluate current work methods and determine ways to eliminate inefficiencies
• •Plan and coordinate work, monitor and evaluate the performance of warehouse associates and supervisors
• •Ensure that materials are staged for inventory and inspection
• •Monitor the flow of paperwork ensuring timely data entry
• •Monitor and measure the accuracy of location, movement and storage of material
• •Develop and recommend budget requirements for the warehouse
• •Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level, to accomplish the distribution center needs in an effective and efficient manner
• •Maintain all established through-put standards
• •Meet budget goals and productivity standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field

5-7 years of experience, including 5 years experience warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management in a distribution center/manufacturing environment and 5 years supervisory experience

PC proficiency in MS Office
