About Inner Sky Labs and Miko
Miko and Inner Sky Labs operate side by side as one group. Miko makes AI companion robots for children, with over 700,000 units sold. It sells through retail, marketplaces and D2C channels in the US, India, the UK and the Middle East, backed by subscription content. Inner Sky Labs builds physical AI foundation models: Drishti, Shruti and Sparsh for perception, Kriya, Karma and Prana for action, and Kavach for safety. It sells these as licensed AI products to enterprises and governments, with annual maintenance contracts. The group operates through RN Chidakashi Technologies in India and subsidiaries in the US and UK.
The role
Drive the deals, partnerships and capital that grow the group, working directly with the CEO. The role is hands-on: you will lead transactions and counterparties end to end, from first conversation and modelling to negotiation, closing and integration.
Key responsibilities
Strategy and market intelligence
- Shape the group's 3–5 year strategy with the CEO across Miko and Inner Sky Labs, and turn it into annual priorities.
- Build business cases for new markets, channels and product lines, and track competitors, funding and M&A activity in consumer AI, robotics and EdTech.
- Prepare strategy papers and decision memos for the CEO and Board.
M&A, investments and integration
- Build a thesis-led pipeline of acquisition, investment and JV targets, and lead screening and first conversations.
- Run valuation (DCF, comparables), deal structuring, term sheets, due diligence and closing with Legal, Finance and advisors.
- Lead post-merger integration and synergy tracking for acquired businesses.
Strategic partnerships and AI licensing
- Find and close partnerships with OEMs, cloud and chipset providers, content owners, telcos, retailers and distributors across India, the US, the UK and the Middle East.
- Structure Inner Sky Labs licensing deals with enterprises and governments: license fees, annual maintenance, implementation and renewal terms.
- Build the commercial case, negotiate terms and review partners against targets each quarter.
Fundraising and investor relations
- Plan and run equity and debt fundraises with the CEO and Finance, coordinating bankers, investors and lenders.
- Own the investor deck, group financial model, cap table and data room.
- Prepare investor updates and Board papers, and handle investor requests.
Structuring and governance
- Recommend group structuring across the Indian, US and UK entities, such as holding structure, IP location and intercompany arrangements, with tax and legal advisors.
- Manage Board and shareholder approvals for transactions, and keep a register of strategic agreements and obligations.
Requirements
- MBA (Finance/Strategy), CA or CFA.
- 6–10 years in corporate development, investment banking, PE/VC, transaction advisory or strategy consulting.
- Must have: led at least 2–3 closed transactions (M&A, fundraise or strategic deal), owning the counterparty relationship.
- Must have: strong financial modelling and valuation, and Board- and investor-ready writing and decks.
- Working knowledge of deal structures, term sheets, due diligence and cross-border rules (FEMA/ODI).
- Good to have: consumer hardware, AI, deep-tech or EdTech exposure; cross-border deals (India–US/UK/Middle East); post-merger integration or government partnerships.
