• Position Summary
• •Responsible for the management processes of Inventory, Distribution, shipping and receiving at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Herrin Hospital, Saint Joseph Memorial Hospital, Harrisburg Medical Center and The Cancer Institute.

• •Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

• Licenses and Certification
• •N/A

• Experience and Skills
• •Technical Experience: 5 years in Hospital Central Supply/Materials Management
• •Supervisory Experience: 2 years

• Role Specific Responsibilities
• •Coordinates the consolidation and standardization of Supply Chain Management services across the system including development of SOPs, policies, and education.
• •Responsible for monitoring and providing adequate inventory levels (Par Level Management)
• •Manages the operations of multiple departments, inpatient and outpatient facilities for supplies and equipment provided by Central Supply.
• •Ensures supervisors and staff provide the highest quality of care in supply management and that all supply areas meet The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local recommended practices.
• •Designs and evaluates processes to improve supply distribution to ensure positive patient care results.
• •Determines the appropriate staff mix for departments and develops processes to screen, interview, hire, train and maintains the competency of all department staff.
• •Collaborates with Supply Chain Service Line Director in developing the level of patient services and day to day operations of the departments.
• •Responsible for EOC (Environment of Care) and Emergency Preparedness committees at each facility ensuring the appropriate staff are educated on any processes that need facilitated.
