Your Role: Manufacturing Associate Intern – Winslow, Maine (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Technical Services and Manufacturing Sciences (TSMS) Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the TSMS team at our Winslow, Maine manufacturing plant, contributing to a hands-on technical project focused on improving processes, solving business challenges, and supporting operational and technical excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Understand the Animal Health Manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit
- Work within cross-functional teams to implement processes or lab improvements
- Learn about upstream antigen manufacturing (i.e. fermentation, viral manufacturing), downstream manufacturing ( i.e. lyophilization and blending), quality control, sterility assurance, or vaccine packaging.
- Study design improvement processes
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Education : Currently enrolled in a Life Sciences major or an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process
- Top Skills : Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Prior internship or professional experience in a life-science industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision
Additional Information:
- Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing
- Location: Winslow Manufacturing Plant, Winslow, ME

- Competitive Salary: $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)

- Future opportunities: High-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles or additional internships, based on business needs.
