- This position will exclusively support Weekend Shift (Thursday-Sunday, 10 hours/day) after an on-boarding period of weekday support.
- - Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner
- - Support and manage daily production operations and eliminate blockers and/or part shortages
- - Work with cross functional teams to solve production issues
- - Provide design for manufacturability feedback and drive positive continuous change to hardware
- - Work with process, quality, and design engineers to continuously improve manufacturing processes

As a Manufacturing Engineer this person will be supporting the technician team by resolving any obstacles and working with responsible engineers to disposition non-conformances. This individual will work closely with engineering teams in specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Amazon Leo hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in supporting production of space hardware through development, QTP (qualification test procedures), and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures).

Basic qualifications
- 2+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications
- BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
