Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division (Reman) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer that will be located in our Booneville, MS facility. This position will support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.

What You Will Do:

  • Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
  • Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
  • Analyzing engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates and implements all changes.
  • Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.

What You Will Have:

Collaborative Automation: Basic understanding of cobot concepts, benefits, applications, and implementation considerations in manufacturing.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Basic understanding of evaluating issues, engaging appropriate decision makers, and making informed decisions within role authority.

Engineering - MFG: Working knowledge of applying engineering standards to support routine manufacturing design, installation, maintenance, and issue resolution.

Lean Manufacturing: Basic understanding of lean principles, waste-identification tools, implementation benefits and risks, and process improvement practices.

Manufacturing Processes: Working knowledge of executing, documenting, monitoring, and improving standard manufacturing processes and technologies.

Problem Solving: Basic understanding of structured problem analysis, resolution, reporting, and escalation practices.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Basic understanding of RPA concepts, benefits, applications, development tools, and deployment considerations.

Degree Requirement:

A degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum, an upcoming graduation with an accredited Engineering degree, OR equivalent experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, or structured problem-solving tools.

Experience using engineering design, data analysis, or process documentation tools.

Familiarity with automation, robotics, equipment reliability, or manufacturing process controls.

Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
