Manufacturing Shift Lead - S1 (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday - Thursday)

Shift: S1 (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday - Thursday)

Position Purpose: The Manufacturing Shift Lead will be responsible to manage manufacturing issues and escalate them to the Production Manager as needed. In addition, this person is in charge of providing direct supervision to production employees and maintaining a safe work environment.

• •Supervisory Management:
• •Set daily priorities for the team as determined by the Production Manager
• •Provides shift direction and leadership for production employees while assisting in the achievement of daily production schedules
• •Actively works the same activities as assigned reports within assigned area
• •Production report and scan product daily
• •Monitors work and day to day activity for performance within assigned area
• •Enforces established policies and procedures
• •Recommends hiring, firing, and discipline action to Production Manager
• •Approves timecards & vacation to ensure adequate coverage within assigned area
• •Provide input for performance evaluations and merit increases within assigned area
• •Must be transparent with other Leads, Supervisors and Management on specific business and employee related issues.
• •Training:
• •Responsible to train employees within respected production area
• •Assigns workload; to include training and cross training between facilities
• •Quality:
• •Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal & external customer satisfaction
• •Safety:
• •Ensures production equipment is maintained and in proper working order
• •Keeps work areas clean
• •Maintains Company 5S standards
• •Initiates all incident, accident and near-miss investigations and associated reporting
• •Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

• •Required
• •High school graduate or GED
• •Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• •Strong understanding of safety requirements
• •Sound decision making and problem solving skills and proven seasoned judgement
• •Knowledge of molding machines, auxiliary equipment.
• •Ability to set goals and unify/motivate others to achieve the goals within defined timeframe's
• •Ability to read schedules and prioritize work.
• •Manufacturing experience.
• •Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 55 lbs. occasionally.
• •Good organizational skills.

• •Demonstrate ability to efficiently run manufacturing cell.
• •Previous supervisory experience.
• •Delmiaworks ERP System experience
