Material Planner

• "- Run Distribution Requirement Planning process on its perimeter.
• - Define and update stock parameters to achieve service level objectives while optimizing inventory level.
• - Manage the purchase order portfolio, analyze stock discrepancies and perform adjustments."
• "Responsible for material replenishment (raw material, components and/or finished goods).
• - Use MRP (right balance of Resource Vs Demand) to ensure stock availability on time at right place.
• - Collaborate with Upstream and Downstream Planning Leader and Supply and Inventory Planner."
• From 3 to 5 years relevant experience obtained broad knowledge through extensive work experience in relevant role(s) plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw materials requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse and production. May use Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. May negotiates lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.

SUMMARY OF JOB

• •To involve in purchasing activities including issue Purchase Order and Purchase Requisition, Request For Quote, etc.
• •To follow up with supplier to ensure timely delivery of goods ordered.
• •To update SAP MRP database timely to ensure system has accurate info.
• •To review safety stock decisions and timely update on usage evolution
• •To involve in supplier selection and evaluation process.
• •To monitor commodity to ensure sufficient stock.
• •To maintain a proper record of purchase, quotation and suppliers information.
• •To liaise with shipping department on materials import shipment.
• •To coordinate and support finance if there is invoicing issue from suppliers.
• •To carry out other duties as and when directed by the Management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED

• •Degree in any discipline with good command of English
• •Team work player and willing to work extra if it is required
• •Computer literacy is a necessary.
