Materials Specialist, 1st Shift - Exmark

Hours :

1st Shift, 6:00AM - 2:00PM

Pay : $22.24

What Will You Do?

• •Create and execute visual management of inventory levels in purchased parts markets
• •Communicate potential shortages to cycle counters and/or material coordinators
• •Ensure purchased part markets are conforming to the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) plan layout
• •Develop and maintain 5S standards for parts markets – assist with updating standard work, training to standard work, and auditing when appropriate
• •Update market metric boards on a daily basis
• •Create and support all process changes to purchased parts markets – new parts, stock utilization, identifying obsolete parts
• •Perform Kanban card audits
• •Assist with physical layout and implementation of purchased parts markets
• •Material handle purchased parts as needed using mobile equipment
• •Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner
• •Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved
• •Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

What Do You Need?

• •Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while additional ability to work well with others in a collaborative manner
• •High attention to organization and detail
• •Working knowledge of all MS Office applications preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• •Ability to create and follow standard work and procedures
• •Previous forklift experience and/or ability to become forklift certified
• •Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• •High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• •Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly; 25 pounds frequently; 40 pounds occasionally
