Description
Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Dupo, IL — on-site in our manufacturing facility
Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday (overtime as needed)
Job Purpose: Build, finish, and test PRI equipment from welded components to a shippable system — assembling piping, valves, pumps, and mechanical equipment; installing wiring and electrical components; insulating and finishing with sheet metal; and preparing completed systems for shipment, all according to blueprints, wiring diagrams, and PRI quality standards.
Compensation: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Definition:
PRI designs and manufactures solvent recycling, parts and container washing, filling and dispensing, and plastic recycling systems, as well as biowaste treatment systems such as effluent decontamination systems, tissue digesters, and autoclaves. The Mechanical Assembler / Finisher turns welded frames, vessels, and piping spools into complete, working systems. Working from blueprints, piping and wiring diagrams, and engineering orders, the assembler lays out and mounts equipment; installs and connects piping, valves, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, condensers, and other components; runs conduit and wiring and mounts electrical components; insulates pipes and vessels and installs sheet metal finish work; and performs pressure, leak, and functional tests. The assembler also prepares finished systems for shipment and helps build crates and skids. The work is hands-on and varied, sometimes repetitive, and requires good hand-eye coordination, hand strength, mechanical aptitude, and pride in a clean, professional finished product.
