About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ZT Systems, you will play a key role in the design and validation of mechanical assemblies used in our high-performance computer servers. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited about innovative, large-scale hardware development.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design and develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies.
• •Create 3D-printed prototypes to support iterative design and testing.
• •Direct and coordinate manufacturing and field installation or retrofit activities.
• •Analyze technical issues and implement timely, cost-effective solutions.
• •Generate engineering documents including drawings, manuals, and other technical deliverables.
• •Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
• •Interface directly with customers and suppliers to define mechanical requirements.
• •Support time-sensitive development initiatives alongside systems and development engineering teams.
• •Contribute to strategic initiatives for process, quality, and cost improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

• •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• •8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design.
• •Familiarity with materials including metals, alloys, and plastics.
• •Experience designing for high-volume manufacturing (e.g., stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, die-cutting).
• •Proficiency with Creo is highly preferred; experience with other 3D CAD systems will be considered.
• •Skilled in DFM , DFA , and statistical tolerance analysis.
• •Experience with structural FEA (e.g., Creo Simulate) is a plus.
• •Knowledge of computer hardware industry is desirable.
• •Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• •Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills.
