We are Looking for:

Someone who is an experienced Medical Assistant for a multispecialty medical practice. The medical assistant should perform a supportive role in delivering comprehensive care to the patient that is safe, effective, and efficient.

Responsibilities:

• •Rooming the patient
• •Interview/update patient’s chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and take vitals.
• •Prepares patient charts a week in advance and verifies benefits reports.
• •Prepares patient charts a week in advance.
• •Scanning documents to appropriate patient charts.
• •Makes sure all rooms are stocked and clean before clinic, after each patient, and at the end of the day.
• •Refill patient medications as directed by a physician and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination for medications.
• •Ensures that physician is in-network and authorized/up-to-date referral is in the patient's chart.
• •Assist the physician in the exam room with any wound care and/or procedures.
• •Follow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation
• •Educates and informs the patient of any DI, labs, referrals, and procedures physicians might have ordered.
• •Schedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient.
• •Obtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed.
• •Main fax line– Distribute faxes to appropriate team member(s)
• •Travel to other CLS Health Locations
• •Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• •Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
• •Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant
• •Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• •Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• •Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• •Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred
