Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant (MA/PSA) - Medical Group Breast Surgery

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• •Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
• •Location: Swedish Hospital
• •Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
• •Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM
• •Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

• •Answer phones
• •Schedule appointments
• •Collect co-payments
• •Complete patient registration
• •Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• •Check in and check out patient
• •Verify insurances
• •Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• •Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• •Provide front office support as needed
• •Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• •Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• •Education : High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• •Certification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
• •Experience : One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
