Medical Representative (Prescription/Therapeutic Dermatology) - West Rand

Key Responsibilities:

• •Areas Covered: West Rand, Jhb South, Vaal Triangle & Germiston. Potch & Klerksdorp- North West, SA
• •Workshops/Conferences/Congresses.
• •Detailing and promoting of Galderma’s products to Dermatologists, targeted GP’s, Selected/Limited Aesthetic Drs, Clinic Sisters and Doctor Receptionists.
• •Adhering to and full implementation of the Marketing Strategies as laid out by management
• •Calling on and training of Doctor & Pharmacy personnel on Galderma’s products where applicable
• •Training of HCP's & personnel on Galderma’s products
• •Liaising with the Rx Sales manager & Ax/ Rx Business Unit Head and relevant departments with regards to any important issues that might affect the image of Galderma
• •Provide feedback on competitor information, industry information and any other information that may positively or negatively impact Galderma’s business.
• •Portray and maintain the professional ethical image of Galderma in field, and within the company in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct Policy
• •To comply with the specified call strategy as laid out by management at all times (call frequency, coverage etc.)
• •To manage the territory in a sound logical manner including planning, coverage of customers, administration (logging of calls, database updates, reporting, Path trainings etc.), utilization of sales data as provided, as well as sound management of Travel and Mkt expenses budgets.
• •From time to time, it may be necessary to work after hours and on weekends to attend/arrange meetings, Medical Education, Journal clubs, workshops, pre-cycle meetings and congresses/conferences
• •Adherence to all the relevant Galderma Policies and Procedures as provided
• •Develop a high level of product, disease and competitor knowledge as per the company’s expectations i.e. pass rate of >85% in all tests.
• •Official certification by the Marketing Code Authority (MCA) of South Africa (updated every 2 years)
• •Additional elements that may become necessary as the position and company develops.
• •Ensure 100% compliance with company legal and compliance policies and in adherence with country laws and regulations.
• •Consistently have an integrated dermatology strategy mindset and utilize in day-to-day roles & responsibilities in current role - for self and team.
• •Ensure timely and accurate reporting of any Adverse Events (AEs) and/or Product Quality Complaints (PQCs) as per local regulatory requirements and internal company procedures.

What We're Looking For:

• •3-6 years as a Pharmaceutical Representative having experience in Doctor detailing and selling as a Doctor detail Representative in the Pharma Industry.
• •Must be able to show sound knowledge of handling a territory and prior success
• •Must have good knowledge of the workings of calling at Doctor, other HCP & pharmacy level, experience in Dermatology and established relationships with KOL’s will be advantageous.
• •Experience in prescription / therapeutic dermatology products is preferrable.
• •Matric Certificate.
• •Post tertiary education/ degree, Bsc or related qualification is preferable.
• •Valid code 8 driver’s license and own transport essential.
• •Intermediate computer literacy and proficiency in applications, including MS Office, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet or like programs.
• •Fluent in English and Afrikaans
