JOB TITLE: MIG/TIG Welder Level I

JOB SUMMARY

The MIG/TIG Welder Level I is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• •Ability to pass weld test
• •At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
• •Must be able to lift 50lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS

• •At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
• •At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• •Forklift certification

CORE DUTIES

• •Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• •Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
• •Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes
• •Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures
• •Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material
• •Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding

HOURS

• •1st shift position
• •Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• •Overtime as needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
