SUMMARY

Maintain all company equipment in the field at Customer locations or breakdown locations for safe and efficient operation.

DUTIES

• •Perform preventative maintenance and inspection.
• •Perform safety inspections in accordance with FMCSA 49 CFR 396.
• •Diagnose and repair minor engine issues using specific manufacturer software systems.
• •Repair or replace brakes, wheel seals, suspension parts and coupling devices.
• •Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic issues.
• •Repair or replace chassis, suspension and axle components including, but not limited to: air bags, shocks, brakes, ABS modules, air tanks and lines.
• •Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors, door seals, wall and roof panels.
• •Perform general repairs to company equipment.
• •Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Requirements

OTHER SIGNIFICANT JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

• •Partner with drivers, dispatchers, and leadership to perform necessary repairs, maintenance, or inspection or troubleshooting of various service issues:
• •Intake of road service calls to help drivers during emergency breakdowns
• •Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
• •Additional duties as assigned by Leadership and Customer.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• •High School Diploma
• •2+ years of experience as a technician/ diesel technician is preferred
• •Knowledge of shop equipment
• •Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• •Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
