About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Portland OR. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• •Modify electric motors as per customer specification.
• •Deliver finished product to designated shipping area
• •Processing of completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.
• •Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on time delivery goals.
• •Perform tasks in a safe environment while using all necessary PPE
• •Complete daily equipment operation checklists
• •Complete daily cleaning assignments

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge / training:

• •Knowledge of low/med voltage AC motors preferred
• •Understand and follow safety procedures
• •Strong mechanical assembly experience
• •Ability to understand and follow written procedures
• •Ability to use and operate manual tools and power tools in hands-on applications
• •Forklift operation experience preferred
• •Ability to use Microsoft Office software
• •SAP and other business software experience is preferred
• •Ability to complete assigned modification jobs without assistance
• •Ability to follow test equipment procedures and interpret test results
• •Ability to identify physical nonconformities on AC motors
• •Knowledge to properly identify materials & components for modifications
• •Ability to assist fellow technicians on modifications

Experience:

2 to 4 years of related experience
