Job Description
Position Title: Moncler | Fashion Boutique Retail Assistant
Location: Niseko, Japan
- Reports to: Moncler Store Manager
- Contract Term: Exact dates TBC - October/November, 2026 - April 2027
- Salary : ¥1,700 per hour, starting + commission scheme

Moncler is a luxury brand founded in 1952 near Grenoble, France, known for its stylish down jackets and high-performance outerwear. Originally created for mountaineers, the brand combines functionality with elegance. The "Grenoble" collection reflects the Alpine heritage, blending technical expertise with modern design to cater to both outdoor and urban lifestyles. Moncler Niseko is one of only three stores in the world dedicated exclusively to the Grenoble collection.
The Role
As a Retail Assistant at Moncler, you will be a key part of the boutique team, delivering an elevated customer experience aligned with the brand’s luxury standards. Your role will focus on assisting clients in selecting high-end fashion and outerwear, offering personalised styling advice, and sharing detailed product knowledge. You will support day-to-day boutique operations and maintain an elegant, organised, and welcoming store environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Customer Service: Provide expert advice and personalized assistance to customers in selecting luxury clothing, including ski and snowboard wear, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.
Sales Operations: Process sales transactions accurately and maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment in line with brand standards.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve store goals.
What You Need to Succeed
Strong customer service skills, and confidence in communicating with a wide range of people
Previous experience in retail, especially in ski/snowboard, outdoor gear, or luxury service industries, is a plus.
Attention to detail and pride in keeping things clean and organized
Ability to stay calm and focused when things get busy
Extra languages (Chinese, Japanese, Thai) will give you an advantage at work, but are not mandatory.
