The MSK Field Implementation Specialist is a focused commercial and clinical launch leader responsible for accelerating adoption of our new powered bone biopsy platform. The individual will use deep procedural expertise, established market credibility, and a strong professional network to gain access to carefully selected competitive accounts, create urgency for change, and move opportunities efficiently from first engagement through evaluation, conversion, and sustainable utilization.
Targeted Market Development and Account Conversion
· Build and execute a regional OmniBone growth plan focused on high-potential competitive accounts, priority health systems, and clinical programs where powered bone biopsy can deliver meaningful procedural and operational value.
· Apply disciplined account selection criteria - procedure volume, competitive position, clinician readiness, access, economics, workflow fit, and likelihood of conversion - to determine where resources should and should not be deployed.
· Open doors and establish senior-level clinical and commercial relationships with interventional radiologists, musculoskeletal radiologists, oncologists, administrators, supply chain leaders, value analysis teams, and other decision-makers.
· Own the opportunity strategy from initial targeting through discovery, evaluation, contracting support, conversion, onboarding, and early utilization growth.
· Develop clear competitive displacement plans that identify the incumbent platform, decision criteria, stakeholders, barriers, required proof points, and actions needed to win.
Clinical Selling, Education, and Implementation
· Serve as a field-based clinical and commercial subject matter expert for powered bone biopsy and the OmniBone platform.
· Lead product demonstrations, evaluations, in-services, procedural support, and customer training with exceptional command of technique, workflow, safety, product setup, and troubleshooting.
· Translate product capabilities into relevant clinical, operational, and economic value for each customer audience.
· Create account-specific implementation plans that define stakeholder roles, training requirements, inventory readiness, first-case support, competency milestones, and post-conversion follow-up.
· Support initial procedures and reinforce best practices until customers and local teams are confident, capable, and positioned for repeatable use.
· Maintain rigorous compliance with all applicable clinical, quality, regulatory, credentialing, and company requirements while supporting customer procedures.
Commercial and Clinical Partnership
· Operate as an overlay specialist and force multiplier, working in close coordination with the Territory Manager and Regional Manager responsible for the account.
· Establish joint account plans, role clarity, customer engagement strategy, and follow-up cadence with commercial and clinical counterparts before deploying resources.
· Bring the right internal partners into each opportunity, including clinical, contracting, corporate accounts, marketing, medical, customer service, and operations.
· Create a deliberate handoff plan once an account has converted, ensuring the local team has the relationships, knowledge, utilization plan, and next actions required to grow the business.
· Share wins, losses, competitive intelligence, and execution learnings to improve team effectiveness across both regions.
Launch Excellence and Portfolio Development
· Act as the voice of the field for OmniBone, providing timely, structured feedback on customer needs, clinical workflow, product performance, objections, competitive activity, and unmet needs.
· Partner with downstream and upstream marketing to refine positioning, messaging, training, evidence needs, customer segmentation, and commercialization priorities.
· Support the field introduction and launch of future bone access, biopsy, and adjacent portfolio innovations as the platform expands.
· Identify potential reference centers, clinical champions, early adopters, and faculty who can help build confidence and market momentum.
· Contribute to sales training, playbooks, competitive resources, implementation standards, and best-practice sharing for the broader organization.
Business Management and Accountability
· Deliver the assigned annual OmniBone revenue objective, expected to range from approximately $500,000 to $1,000,000 based on territory potential, market maturity, and the annual operating plan.
· Maintain a high-quality opportunity pipeline with accurate stage, value, timing, stakeholder, risk, and next-step information in the designated CRM and forecasting tools.
· Provide clear visibility to evaluations, conversions, utilization, competitive displacement, and barriers requiring leadership support.
· Use company resources responsibly, prioritizing opportunities based on expected impact, probability of success, and strategic value.
· Manage travel, expenses, demonstration assets, and field inventory in accordance with company policy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Significant field experience in powered bone biopsy, bone access, musculoskeletal intervention, interventional radiology, or a closely related procedural medical-device category.
Demonstrated success gaining access to competitive accounts and converting clinician interest into product evaluations, adoption, and sustained revenue.
Strong clinical fluency and the ability to teach procedural technique, product use, workflow, and troubleshooting to experienced healthcare professionals.
Established credibility and professional relationships within the relevant physician and hospital customer community in the assigned geography.
Proven ability to build and execute strategic account plans in complex health systems involving clinical, administrative, supply chain, contracting, and value analysis stakeholders.
Excellent presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a highly focused overlay role while collaborating seamlessly with territory-based commercial and clinical teams.
Strong judgment, urgency, resilience, and the discipline to focus on opportunities with a credible path to conversion.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region, including overnight travel, and to support cases that may begin early or extend beyond standard business hours.
Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements and all physical requirements associated with supporting procedures in clinical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct commercial and clinical experience with powered bone biopsy platforms and competitive conversion programs.
Existing relationships with high-volume interventional radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, oncology, and bone biopsy programs.
Experience launching a new medical device, developing early-adopter sites, and creating repeatable implementation standards.
Experience partnering with upstream or downstream marketing on product strategy, customer insights, training, or new-product development.
Documented success exceeding revenue objectives in a capital, disposable, or procedural medical-device environment.
