POSITION SUMMARY

The Multimedia Content Specialist captures and produces engaging short-form video content that showcases the people, programs, and impact of our Y across all our locations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Capture

· Travel to locations to film video and take supporting photos

· Capture authentic moments of members, participants, staff and programs in action

· Coordinate with branch staff to schedule shoots and learn about upcoming events or stories worth featuring

· Attend community events and sports matches to capture real-time content

Content Production

· Edit footage into short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, Stories) using mobile and/or desktop editing tools

· Add captions, music, graphics, and effects consistent with brand standards

· Maintain a steady content pipeline that supports the social media calendar

· Organize and archive raw footage and finished videos in a shared library

Trend Responsiveness

· Monitor social media trends, sounds, and formats on an ongoing basis

· Quickly identify trends that fit our brand and mission, and produce timely content around them

· Pitch content ideas to the marketing team

Collaboration

· Work with the marketing & communications team to align content with campaigns, seasonal priorities, and brand voice

· Follow photo/video release and consent procedures, with special attention to minors in youth programs, camps, and child development centers

· Follow child protection and safety policies at all sites

· Provide content performance reports as requested

Mileage and travel reimbursement, monthly cell phone stipend, and complimentary Y membership included, as well.

EFFECT ON END-RESULT:

This position strengthens our Ys visibility and community connection by turning real moments from across our locations into engaging video content, helping us attract new members, promote programs, and share our mission with the wider community.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form video for social media

· Proficiency with mobile video editing apps and/or desktop software

· Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube trends and best practices

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

· Basic photography, lighting, and audio skills

· Familiarity with captioning and accessibility best practices

· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

· Ability to pass a background check, including child-safety screening
