Description

Innovative Technology Partnerships LLC (ITP) seeks an on-site Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support NAVAIR PMA-290 MOSS at the Integrated Test Facility (ITF), NAS Patuxent River, MD. The SA serves as the primary integration specialist maintaining, operating, and configuring mission-critical Ground Support Stations (GSSs) for the ITF and deployable squadrons. The position manages the full media lifecycle—baseline image ingestion, mirror drive duplication, post-cloning cryptographic verification (SHA-256), NIST SP 800-88 sanitization, and physical delivery of aircraft payloads. Additionally, the SA acts as the primary technical liaison between vendors, engineering, Cybersecurity, and operational squadrons. This is a 100% on-site role in classified spaces.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ground Support Station Administration: Lead GSS SA for ground environments; handle OS rebuilds, patch deployments, account administration, DISA STIG hardening, end-to-end dataflow testing, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • CM & Drive Action Queue: Prioritize the Drive Action Queue, manage baseline ingestion, maintain gold disk retention policies, and prepare delivery drive sets for operational squadrons.
  • Duplication, Verification & Sanitization: Operate hardware duplicators (e.g., Logicube SuperSonix-NG), perform 100% SHA-256 hash verification, and execute NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 sanitization per ITF SOPs.
  • Field Deployment & Vendor Support: Act as technical liaison for software deliveries, support squadron detachments with site checkouts and training, and manage secure media chain-of-custody hand-offs.
  • Documentation & Lab Operations: Author PSOPs, work instructions, and checklists while maintaining lab turnaround benchmarks for save, restore, and tape archiving.
  • Adaptability: Execute other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility to evolving program priorities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: BS + 3 yrs, AA + 5 yrs, or HS/GED + 7 yrs of network engineering / systems administration experience performing the listed duties.
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility (U.S. Citizenship required); ability to maintain SCI access and CI polygraph.
  • Certification: Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE) at start, plus OS credential/training (Linux or Windows).
  • Technical Experience: 3+ years in tactical networking and Cybersecurity/RMF compliance; hands-on administration of Linux, Windows, Cisco IOS, Ruckus, VMware ESXi, Cisco UCS, and air-gapped systems.
  • Media & Sanitization: Experience with enterprise disk imaging duplicators, hash verification (SHA-256, MD5), and NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 sanitization standards.
  • Physical Requirements: On-site work at NAS Patuxent River; ability to lift and transport equipment up to 40 lbs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MIL/Commercial SATCOM experience (EDM terminals, ARSTRAT process).
  • Familiarity with High/Low-band systems, FISINT, WAN, fiber cabling, MIL-STD-1553B, and INS/GPS.
  • Experience supporting tactical mission software and working directly with active flight lines/squadrons.
  • Media chain-of-custody management and prior OCONUS detachment experience.
  • Active SCI access and CI polygraph at time of hire.
  • Prior NAVAIR, PMA-290, or NAS Patuxent River program experience.
