About the role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to provide reliable network and local IT support for our Charlotte office while contributing to network engineering activities across the Americas.

You will support business-critical connectivity, resolve technical incidents, maintain accurate network documentation, and assist with approved changes and regional projects. Reporting to the Head of IT / Office of the RCIO, you will collaborate with local users, operational teams, regional and global IT colleagues, telecommunications providers, and technology vendors.

This is an opportunity to combine hands-on local support with broader regional exposure, helping maintain secure, available, and well-documented technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain network topology diagrams, IP address management records, circuit information, device inventories, VLAN documentation, and monitoring coverage.
  • Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switching, firewall, and connectivity services in Charlotte and assigned regional locations.
  • Troubleshoot network incidents using monitoring tools, logs, packet captures, and structured escalation to regional or global engineering teams.
  • Manage ServiceNow incidents and requests within agreed SLAs and prepare standard changes in accordance with ITIL change-management practices.
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 local IT support, including endpoint connectivity, Microsoft 365 access, meeting-room technology, printing, mobility, and executive support.
  • Execute approved firmware upgrades, vulnerability remediation, maintenance activities, and configuration changes using documented validation and rollback procedures.
  • Support office and terminal projects, including site surveys, circuit activation, wireless coverage, structured cabling, testing, commissioning, and technical documentation.

Who we are looking for

We recognize that experience comes in many forms. If you don’t meet every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.

  • Bring 3 to 5 years of hands-on enterprise network support or network engineering experience, including switching, wireless, WAN, VPN, and incident troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VPN, NAT, and structured cabling.
  • Apply practical experience with Cisco or comparable enterprise networking platforms and firewall technologies such as Firepower, Check Point, or Fortinet.
  • Use monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, Wireshark, or comparable platforms.
  • Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and endpoint connectivity.
  • Communicate professionally in English. Spanish and English bilingual capability is strongly preferred for collaboration across the Americas.
  • Bring a strong continuous improvement mindset, with disciplined documentation, cybersecurity awareness, customer focus, and structured problem-solving skills.

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent technical experience will be considered. Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or Security+, ITIL Foundation, and related vendor certifications are advantageous but not required.

  • Access medical insurance and a 401(k) benefit.
  • Annual Bonus.
