We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.

We are hiring Health Unit Coordinators (HUC) ​across a variety of shifts.

As Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you will offer unparalleled customer service to patients, families and visitors to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience. Using your administrative and clerical skills, you will ensure efficient operational flow of the department, allowing your fellow caregivers to continue providing optimal patient care.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

C onduct an in-person greeting , welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.

Respond to patient call lights and make roun ds.

Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.

A ssist patients and families with way finding and direct them to available resources.

Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.

Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures , such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High S chool D iploma or GED

One year of experience in a customer service-related role

Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursewor k

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

College degree

Microsoft Office experience

Physical Requirements:

• •Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• •Requires frequent data entry, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• •Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing and vision.
• •Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.
