Role Details

Location: To be confirmed based on project assignment.

Work arrangement: 100% on-site, field-based position supporting the construction of overhead distribution and transmission powerlines.

Employment type: To be confirmed.

Schedule: Frequent overtime and weekend work as required by project schedules and operational needs.

Travel: Travel to various construction sites and project locations as required to support project and business needs.

The Opportunity

The Line Tech I supports Forbes Bros. Group of Companies' construction operations by assisting with the installation and construction of overhead distribution and transmission powerlines. You will work alongside experienced line crews to support structure assembly, framing, conductor stringing, equipment operations, and right-of-way activities while following established safety procedures and construction requirements.

This opportunity is well-suited for a recent graduate of an accredited line school who is eager to apply their technical knowledge and develop hands-on experience in powerline construction. You will gain practical exposure to distribution and transmission projects, work alongside experienced crew members, and continue building the skills needed for a career in the powerline industry.

Key Elements of the Role

Assist with the construction of new overhead distribution and transmission powerlines throughout various phases of construction, working alongside experienced line crews and following established work procedures.

Support the framing and assembly of wood and steel structures, including the installation of components and materials used in distribution and transmission powerline construction.

Assist with the assembly and erection of lattice steel structures for overhead transmission lines in accordance with construction plans and project requirements.

Participate in overhead conductor stringing activities, including material preparation, equipment setup, and supporting crews throughout inst
