Nurse Manager - Fulltime - System Float Leader

Work Shift

The System Float Nurse Manager provides clinical and operational leadership across assigned units and services within Wellstar Health System. This role leads teams in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting employee engagement, retention, operational performance, and service excellence.

As a key leader for quality, safety, and workforce success , the Nurse Manager uses data, evidence-based practices, and strong collaboration to improve outcomes, manage resources, and create a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Provide clinical and operational leadership for assigned units and services across the health system.
• •Promote a culture of patient safety, quality, accountability, and service excellence .
• •Lead, coach, develop, and retain high-performing nursing teams.
• •Foster collaboration among nursing staff, physicians, leaders, and interdisciplinary partners.
• •Oversee staffing and effectively manage financial, human, and material resources.
• •Use data, technology, and performance improvement practices to drive clinical and operational results.
• •Support shared governance, evidence-based practice, and professional nursing development.
• •Lead change initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and the patient experience.
• •Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulatory, accreditation, licensure, and professional practice standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• •Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• •Master's degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing management experience required.

Licensure & Certification

• •Current Georgia RN license or multistate RN license with privilege to practice in Georgia under the eNLC.
• •Current BLS certification as required for the position.

Skills

• •Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• •Demonstrated ability to lead change and collaborate across diverse teams.
• •Knowledge of healthcare operations, quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and financial/resource management.
• •Ability to use data and technology to support decisions and improve outcomes.
