Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Addiction Medicine (PRN)

Join our collaborative Addiction Medicine team as a PRN Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) providing direct patient care for individuals with substance use disorders, including Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) .

You'll work alongside physicians, APPs, and clinical social workers in an integrated care environment focused on improving patient outcomes and supporting recovery.

Schedule & Location

  • PRN, preferred availability of approximately 16 hours per week
  • No weekends or call requirements
  • Hybrid work opportunity after training and onboarding, onsite work will be based at the Mercy Virtual Care Center in Chesterfield, MO.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and evaluations
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management, including MOUD services
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, and health maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority as required
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

  • Addiction Medicine
  • Behavioral Health
  • Substance Use Disorder treatment
  • Telehealth and/or collaborative care settings
