Details about this opportunity:

Location: Long Island , NY (school districts across Nassau and Suffolk County)

Status: Part time Hourly, School calendar with potential for extended school year

Hours : Monday-Friday During School Hours.

Compensation: $25-27/Hour

**Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by experience and certification held**

Opportunities to earn PDU's for RBT's

Responsibilities:

Provide instructional services and support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher

Help prepare teaching materials and environment to support instruction

Familiarity with basic behavior intervention strategies and principles

Participate in maintaining data collection to ensure success of academic and behavioral plans.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children and staff.

Possibility of assisting in managing the behaviors of students and crisis intervention .

Participate in team meetings as appropriate.

And this background:

Teaching Assistant Certification: Level I, Level II, Level III or Pre-Professional

High School Diploma or equivalent – Associates preferred.

Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum a plus

Bilingual is a plus
