About the Position:

Occupational Hygiene Specialist- Chemical Exposure Monitoring and Data Management position provide occupational hygiene data-management and workflow support for personal gas detection equipment programs across Chevron facilities. Coordinate access to equipment information, consolidate data from global asset and service-provider systems, prepare targeted communications and dashboards, and support review and follow-up of equipment status information.

The role is part of the Health, Safety and Environmental team at the Chevron ENGINE Center.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Coordinate access to approved equipment systems and consolidate personal gas detection data from Asset and service-provider sources while maintaining master data and standardized fields.
• •Track available assignment, location, status, inspection, calibration, bump-test, and maintenance information; perform data-quality reviews and coordinate resolution of missing, duplicate, outdated, or inconsistent records.
• •Generate targeted dashboards, reports, notifications, communications, metrics, and performance summaries; track exceptions and follow-up actions through completion.
• •Maintain procedures, data definitions, templates, and work instructions, and support consistent data-management and reporting practices across facilities.
• •Collaborate with Asset and Technical Center personnel to expand workflows and automate data consolidation, reporting, notifications, and exception tracking while escalating technical or compliance decisions to responsible specialists.

Required Qualifications:

• •Bachelor’s degree in occupational Hygiene, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• •3-6 years of experience in occupational hygiene, HSE data management, equipment program support, compliance tracking, analytics, or a related field.
• •Working knowledge of occupational hygiene monitoring and gas detection fundamentals.
• •Experience collecting, organizing, validating, and reporting data from multiple sources.
• •Ability to conduct routine data-quality reviews and identify anomalies or gaps.
• •Experience preparing dashboards, reports, or targeted stakeholder communications.
• •Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Experience with personal single-gas or multi-gas detection equipment.
• •Familiarity with equipment calibration, bump testing, inspection, maintenance, and recordkeeping concepts.
• •Experience with manufacturer portals, contractor-managed equipment systems, Cority, or similar HSE information systems.
• •Experience developing Power BI dashboards or automated reports.
• •Experience supporting oil and gas, refining, chemical, manufacturing, or other industrial operations.

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
