Job Description:

Schedule: Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (40 hours/week).

Location : 7727 Lake Underhill Rd, Orlando, FL 32822

• •Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist; and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• •Uses appropriate therapy procedures, documents data, and follows individualized care plans set by the occupational therapist.
• •Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs for treatment carryover into the discharge setting.
• •Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
• •Conducts age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care.
• •Acts as a clinical instructor and provides mentorship to students and new staff, fostering a supportive and educational environment.
• •Engages in ongoing review of occupational therapy and rehab policies and procedures, making recommendations for updates as needed.
• •Documents interventions and patient progress accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology in line with standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department/hospital policies and procedures.
• •Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.
• •Ensures patient safety and adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, including infection control, equipment training, and safety programs.
• •Participates in performance improvement initiatives and educational events to maintain clinical competencies and adhere to professional and evidence-based practices.
• •Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• •Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• •Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.
• •Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic forms.
• •Entry level knowledge and application of principles of medical occupational therapy for therapeutic diagnostics and treatment.

Pay Range:

• $21.77 - $40.48
• Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
