Company:

Oliver Wyman

Description:

The Health and Life Sciences (HLS) practice helps clients in the payer, provider, digital health, and life sciences sectors realize their most ambitious organizational and operational visions by bridging the gap between their business today and their vision for the future.

At Oliver Wyman, we are focused on creating positive change in healthcare, but we know we can’t do it all ourselves. Together, with today's leading healthcare experts and innovators, we’ve built a community to share and shape ideas that will transform healthcare. We work to ensure industry transformation through generating meaningful client impact, delivering strategic insights, and creating a healthcare system that meets the needs of communities and companies.

Our team is seeking extraordinary individuals with deep expertise in Life Sciences (i.e., Pharmaceuticals, MedTech, BioTechnology) to support our continued expansion in this sector, which is experiencing significant growth. We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in commercial strategy, digital & technology and operations improvement.

Associate

Associates are critical members of our consulting team, working side-by-side with our clients. The Associate position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals with relevant prior experience. Initial responsibilities may include:

Managing the execution of individual project workstreams. This typically includes developing hypotheses; managing data collection, model creation and analyses; conducting primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations; and surfacing insights

Synthesizing findings into written presentations; reviewing and discussing with clients and other stakeholders

Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality execution

Reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance for technical expertise or senior-level advice on project execution and client engagement

Coaching consultants and helping them develop their skill sets

Desired Skills and Experience

Just as every client project is different, so we recognize and value the diversity of backgrounds and skill sets for successful Associate candidates. We are seeking high-caliber individuals who want to join our winning team. Preference will be given to candidates with:

4-5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or other similar organizations);

Prior experience in health-related topics

Track record of leading and managing teams, and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environments

Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills

MD and/or other clinical degree a plus, but not a requirement

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program

Willingness to travel

Fluency in English

Fluency in Arabic is preferred

The Individual

We are looking for leaders who are passionate about consulting excellence. Exceptional candidates possess initiative, intuition, creativity as well as a strong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skills.

We value individuals with state-of-the-art knowledge of the Health and Life Science topics listed above (in the “context” section).
