We're hiring an On-Trade Sales & Brand Ambassador to join the team at Bolney Wine Estate! This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for wine with the excitement of building a premium English wine brand. You'll play a key role in growing Bolney's presence across premium hotels, restaurants and bars, developing new business and helping shape how the brand is experienced across the UK hospitality market.

More than a traditional sales role, this is an opportunity to bring Bolney's wines, heritage and winemaking story to life. Working closely with the General Manager and wider Freixenet Copestick teams, you'll build influential customer relationships, deliver wine education and create memorable brand experiences that inspire customers and drive commercial growth.

What you'll be doing:

Identify, approach and secure new customers across premium hotels, restaurants, bars and hospitality venues, building a strong pipeline of opportunities and converting these into profitable, long-term business

Develop lasting relationships with sommeliers, food and beverage directors, general managers, owners and purchasing teams, growing existing accounts and increasing distribution

Bring the Bolney brand to life by sharing the estate's heritage, wines and winemaking story, helping customers understand what makes English wine distinctive

Host trade tastings, wine dinners, customer visits and staff training, using your wine knowledge to educate, engage and inspire

Identify opportunities for new listings, by-the-glass placements, seasonal promotions and wine programmes that showcase our range and drive sales

Work with the General Manager, Marketing and wider commercial teams to develop brand activations and strengthen Bolney's position in the premium wine market

Contribute to shaping the future of the Bolney brand by sharing customer feedback, market insights and ideas that support its growth and development

Manage pricing, customer profitability and commercial agreements, ensuring sustainable sales growth and delivery against agreed margins

Build relationships with approved wholesalers and distribution partners to extend our reach and ensure customers can access our wines

Manage your territory, maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasting performance and delivering against agreed sales targets

Collaborate with colleagues across the estate, winery, vineyard and wider business to create a joined-up customer experience

Support other areas of the estate, including the winery, vineyard, shop or tours, where appropriate to business needs

What we're looking for:

Experience in sales, business development or account management, ideally within wine, drinks or premium hospitality

An understanding of the UK premium hospitality and on-trade market, with the ability to win new business and develop profitable customer relationships

Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, negotiation, margins and account profitability

Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage and influence customers at all levels

Highly organised, proactive and results-driven, with the ability to manage your territory, pipeline and sales targets

Experience using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and sales opportunities

A genuine passion for wine, with a wine education background or enthusiasm for developing your expertise; WSET Level 3 or above would be an advantage

Confidence representing a premium wine estate and bringing its story, products and values to life

An entrepreneurial and curious approach, with an interest in helping shape a brand rather than simply selling a product

A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships across the hospitality industry and the wider business

A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel, including occasional evenings and weekends

What we offer:

Generous performance-related bonus

Car allowance

Enhanced pension contributions

Generous staff discounts across our portfolio

Private health cover

25 days annual leave + birthday day off, with the option to buy and sell annual leave

Enhanced parental leave

Employee Assistance Programme

Income protection and life assurance

Group accident insurance

EV salary sacrifice scheme

We welcome applications from candidates who do not meet 100% of the requirements.
