Job Description:

Position Overview:

Front End Maintainers are responsible for initiating the can making process (set up, operation and maintenance of the cupping press, body makers, trimmers, and conveying systems).

Duties And Responsibilities:

• •Inspect, upend, and load coils onto the unwinder, ensuring proper feeding through the lubricator and into the press.
• •Perform setup, maintenance, and operation of the upender, unwinder, lubricator, and cupping press.
• •Oversee the setup, maintenance, and operation of body makers, trimmers, and conveying systems.
• •Monitors and record can specifications in the system, including flange wall thickness, mid-wall thickness, dome depth, and trim can height.
• •Conduct visual inspections and cup weight checks to ensure compliance with production standards.
• •Take corrective measures as necessary to maintain quality.
• •Assist in other production areas as needed to ensure can flow through the plant.
• •Complete required paperwork, including coil logs, check sheets, and other documentation.
• •Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

Minimum Requirements

• •Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• •Exhibits effective problem-solving and troubleshooting methods.
• •Basic knowledge of how electrical components work.
• •Ability to use precision measurement devices (i.e. calipers, micrometers and dial indicators).
• •Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable safety regulations, reinforcing a culture where safety is the top priority.
• •Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with all team members.
