Operator - Cylindrical Grinding

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• •Perform cylindrical grinding of carbide and steel cutting tools as per specifications.
• •Set up and operate grinding machines independently.
• •Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met.
• •Conduct in-process inspections and maintain production records.
• •Follow safety and quality procedures at all times.
• •Perform wheel dressing and basic machine adjustments to maintain grinding performance.
• •Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
• •Monitor machine performance and report any abnormalities or maintenance requirements.
• •Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow 5S practices in the production area.
• •Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve productivity.

Profile & Requirements:

• •Minimum 2 years of experience in cylindrical grinding operations.
• •Strong hands-on experience in grinding of carbide and steel cutting tools.
• •Good knowledge of cylindrical grinding machines, wheel selection, and machine setup.
• •Ability to achieve close tolerances and maintain high-quality surface finishes.
• •Experience in inspecting components using measuring instruments such as micrometres, verniers, and dial gauges.
• •Understanding of cutting tool manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
• •Ability to read engineering drawings and process specifications.
• •Knowledge of safety practices and machine maintenance.
