Oracle Database Developer

• The position is within Global Capital Markets Operation Technology. Global Capital Markets and Operations Technology focuses on automating and modernizing operations and middle office platforms, while implementing and leveraging cross product shared services opportunities.
• Opening is for the role of a ETL developer to participate in end-to-end development of a Database application. This role will also contribute to refactoring and upkeep of existing applications.
• Job Description:
• We are looking for a Database developer to produce scalable software solutions. Candidate will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. Candidate will also be responsible for upkeep and improvement of existing applications.
• As a full stack developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. Familiarity with Agile is desired.

Key Responsibilities

• A team player contributing towards business deliveries building true ownership and accountability of the modules/components over time
• Participate with development teams and stakeholders to ideate solutions
• Contribute to design of client-side and server-side architecture
• Write efficient, scalable and maintainable code by following best practices
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Ensure the design and code is secure
• Build features and applications with a responsive design
• Write technical documentation

Qualifications

• Job Skills and Qualifications:
• Required Skills:
• Proven experience as a 7–10-year Database developer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience of Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix Scripting.
• Experience with Python is added advantage.
• Experience developing desktop, web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with common stacks.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache).
• Experience in application build and deployment process.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology or any relevant field
